The preacher preached Jesus. People said they were healed. But …

I once saw an amazing, jaw-dropping video of a healing service.

I had never seen this before, and it made me see some things in a new light.

It was in a large auditorium that was packed out. It looked like well over a thousand people.

This large crowd was boisterous. Many people were shouting and dancing with arms raised. The praise music was loud.

The preacher spoke of the love of God, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the name of Jesus Christ several times. He preached faith.

He called out people in the crowd who had physical ailments. He dared them to step out in faith.

And the people he called out appeared to be healed right there and then.

One woman went from vision difficulty to seeing well.

Another had severe headaches, but then the pain was gone.

He recited details of people’s infirmities, even though they said they didn’t tell him in advance.

One woman had pain in several parts of her body, but then jumped for joy and danced.

One woman had a spinal condition and was in a wheelchair. She stood up, then walked gingerly, then walked quicker, then waved her arms and went from shuffling to dancing.

And the crowd cheered and praised God each time.

The video was from the 1970’s, the building was the People's Temple, and the preacher was Jim Jones. You can watch it here.
